Experience a day on the farm and gain firsthand insight into rural life, including driving vehicles, managing livestock, and performing various outdoor tasks.

Operating on a farm requires a diverse set of skills often underestimated by those unfamiliar with agricultural work. Farm children learn essential safety and operational rules—do you know them?

Participants will have the opportunity to:
<ul>
<li>Drive quadbikes and tractors under supervision</li>
<li>Assist in rescuing cows during flood conditions and locating lost sheep</li>
<li>Repair fences and manage invasive gorse</li>
<li>Navigate typical hazards while performing daily duties</li>
<li>Learn important farm safety rules and practices</li>
</ul>

The Farm Rules program is an initiative supported by Dairy New Zealand’s ambassador, Rosie the Cow, in partnership with WorkSafe NZ. It offers both an engaging and educational experience to promote safety awareness on farms, highlighting potential risks and appropriate safety procedures.
